In 2005, red espresso® was born in a coffee junkie’s kitchen. Reimagining Rooibos tea into an espresso was South African olive farmer and serial entrepreneur Carl Pretorius’ inspired solution to cutting out caffeine without sacrificing on coffee style, great taste or good health. Carl teamed up with co-founders Pete and Monique Ethelston to create a business, brand and new beverage category from scratch. Today, our kitchen-born innovation has won international awards, and is loved by passionate consumers in over 20 countries.
